Empowering children and families with food allergy anxiety

Food allergies can affect every facet of one’s life - school, playdates, extra curricular activities, holiday and birthday parties, vacations, dining out and even romantic relationships. Carroll Counselling is committed to helping individuals and families devise strategies to better cope with allergy-related stresses. Carroll Counselling works with clients to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviours so that they may live better, safer and happier lives.

About

My name is Samara Carroll and I've been living with anaphylactic food allergies since I was two years old. I know what it's like to navigate the daily stress of allergies, and understand the importance of finding a balance between remaining vigilant and enjoying life.

I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, as well as an MA from York University. I am a registered social worker in good standing with the OCSWSSW and a member of the OACW. I have worked with children and families in clinical and community settings for more than 10 years.

I was recently interviewed by Food Allergy Buzz.

I'm allergic to peanuts and shellfish. I love family, food and travel.
